Protection of the Human Rights in the Darknet

In 2016 The Human Rights Council affirmed that the same rights which people enjoy offline must also be protected online. The resolution is "a milestone for free expression on the Internet” according to Dunja Mijatović. Yet on the Internet itself, there is a vastly different world that has to be faced and understood. While it is a place where people can find unrestricted freedom and relative anonymity it is also a place full of highly-condemned illegal activities. How far do the human rights go in a world like that? Join the Human Rights Council at CUL MUN 2019 and face the darknet.
